Introduction
Today, information and communication technology has removed many limitations in the field of health and treatment and has created many ways to improve communication, information, and the ability to take better care of the patient. The integration of information technology, intelligent systems, and electronic health (e-health) has created new treatment systems and methods along with reducing costs, saving time, and increasing accuracy. Another important point is that healthcare will gradually become information-based services and perhaps knowledge-based services. Therefore, it is necessary to pay serious attention to electronic health systems, telemedicine, and hospital information systems
In the last decade, many advances have been made in the development of e-health technology as a method for telemedicine supported by modern digital media communications. Using intelligent systems in the health system, especially artificial intelligence systems, is increasing and becoming more important. Therefore, the health system staff should choose strategies to increase their ability to use intelligent systems in the health system and to solve their challenges.
The objective of this special issue is to accentuate recent exemplary applications and cutting-edge theories for practitioners and scholars who seek new studies that illustrate the breadth of this field. In addition, readers will benefit from a depth understanding of current challenges and problems. We envisage receiving a variety of applications and theoretical development in the special issue. The articles in the special issue will help fertilize ideas between practitioners and researchers.
Special Issue Scope and Topics
Authors are invited to submit original unpublished research manuscripts that demonstrate successful theoretical development and implementations of applied intelligent systems & information sciences in electronic healthcare systems. We seek out manuscripts that articulate work to help decision-makers improve their performance using a variety of methods from the related literature such as attending to multiple attributes, efficiency, and uncertainties.
